Obama Speaks

Mr President! As below is the transcript of the video clip critical Analysis by the media.

Keith! Obama almost on unprecedented visit inside the Lion’s Den he addresses the Republican Congressional retreat and the revolution is televised.

Barrack Obama! You know that…………..

Keith! Not just speech, he takes GOP questions the historic give and take as to implement the Republican’s across the board tax cuts, it is mostly give, you may consider across ????

Barrack Obama! Tax cuts banking……………

Keith! To which Congressman Mike Pence would later answer that the President refused our suggestion (inaudible) no wordsminced, televised live.

Barrack Obama! You given your self………………

Keith! The President goes on and 140 with the Republican Party some of the leaders are now saying they have made a mistake exceeding to his request to keep the cameras going when the formal speech was over. For the next 2 hours we will bring you all 0f the 82 minutes of remarkable political dialogue not seen before in this country in the era of television

Barrack Obama! I am not a Pundit job security……………….

Keith! This is MSNBC’s special coverage of President Obama’s address to the Republican policy retreat.

Keith!Arguably what could be the most compelling moment so far the Obama Presidency in a moment until today only the most inside of the political insider might have ever seen the American President welcoming questions from some of the harshest critics in the opposition 82 minutes (inaudible) of Britain’s Prime Minister Question time only (inaudible) unlike in the Parliament the question in came only from the opposition. Rachel Maddow here in New York with me and of course Chris Mathew in Washington, I am Keith Olbermann for the next 2 hours we will replay and analyse the President’s singular afternoon at the house of Republican annual meeting on longer extracts coming up with the headlines. The President today travelling to Baltimore to open the dialogue with his Republican critics two days after the State of Union Address in which he challenged lawmakers directly that if anything to be accomplished the tone of their negotiations need to change. First thing to change today’s question and answer period will be televised, the Whitehouse asking last night to make that happen. The President believing in the necessity of a real debate with an opposition loyal or what have you

Barrack Obama! Having difference…………………..

Keith! Wednesday night the President said that he planned to spend second year focusing on job security. He told House of Republicans today that he did not mean their job security

Barrack Obama! But I don’t single……………………

Keith! If debating your adversaries can seen like a game, it means keeping ? the President talking the opposition that is not the intent of this afternoon’s exercise.

Barrack Obama! Difference between…………………

Keith!  And now the first of our dips to the analysis pool let me start this and say good evening to Chris Mathew. Chris! Contextualise this for me. Historically obviously this kind of thing has happened before American political history out there were never whenever cameraswere there, right?

Chris! No! As you set up, this is very much like the Prime Minister in England sitting in the Treasury bench asking and answering any question from the opposition side. He was there a man in the arena if you will taking the questions all in camera. It was a great statement of his personal intellectual confidence that he was gona be hit with something he can’t handle and everybody agrees that he could handle everything today so he offered a challenge. I just talked with David E he said what the President wants to do, he wants to put the Republicans in a situation where they either join him and try to solve our problem or be seen walking away. They only have two choices now: walk into the room and negotiate or walk away both on camerathat’s changing things.

Keith! Boy! It is. Rachel! There is still a meaning of this for us as if there is a point in a political science class what is its context in our dialogue for the moment

Rachel: I think the last point Chris made is the crux here that so far the (inaudible), it is not rational for the Republicans to vote with the President on anything on this agenda. The cost that they pay for seeing as obstructionists is so minor compared to the cost to Democrats for not being able to get anything passed. And so this is try to increase the cost to them of being obstructionists him making overtly please join me, join me, but also honestly just showing some political fight being shown willing to engage with them directly coming to their house something like this historically unprecedented showing that he is not only confident but he feels like he has got the best argumentin the world.

Keieth:Let us get into the longest tapes of the arguments what transformed this into event essentially unique American history was when the Democrat President live on National TV said that he assembled Republican representatives in House of representatives in fact any question. First that was Congressman Mike Pence of Indiana, the chair of the House of Representatives conference the heavy hitter in this tie up. The Formal Talk Radio Host described himself as Christian, a Conservative and Republican in that order. He supported cutting tax credits to the poor, financial support for Aid’s patients and medicade? not in that order and here he is:

Mike Pence: Last year economic growth………………….

Barrack Obama: Lot of packed………………………

Keith: We will pick up the second part of Obama Pence exchange in a moment. Back to Chris Mathew in you interviewed Congressman Pence live at Hardball 5.00 O Clock. I gather after listening to that his take away on this was the President would not go along with our across the broad tax cutsor is that sort of code for saying when we want the President to accept our and dismiss his own…

Chris:Well! I think the idea was can you reach a compromise with the President yes! He is willing to sign with the Regan economic policies we get a deal. He said to me that quote: I asked him if he consider across the board tax cuts and he said that he would as long as were not across the board and of course the tax cuts for the proposal ? Let us talk about how to do it and compromise between these very specific kinds of tax cutting that you might call industrial policy and I understand whether Republicans would not go along with that. It is too specific. There is a lot of range between that kind of specific (inaudible) Liberal tax cutting and Regan tax cutting that is a compromise somewhere between the two. He is saying that if he is not buying Republican solution you are not enjoying our company. I thought it was interesting he said people like tax cuts now there is a ? and. this first thing he to throw medicine ball to the President and hit him in the stomach and say let us chat. I mean, think it was not a fair exchange and up? right at front. I think that anybody thinks $1.4 trillion deficit. Right now it is time for a huge across the broad tax cuts for the rich.I mean that would not be reasonable or responsible. I think Mike Pence know it. I think he knows it.

Keith:Rachel! There was still that policy of throwing the Medicine ball as Chris suggested continued in the it is almost like watching stories of John (inaudible) 19th century boxer such remarks volunteered to fight anybody or everybody in the house and knock them all out. I did not mean to be too partisan on this but whatever the strategy was in the Republican in this event I did not really work.

Rachel:Well you could ?. I think it is really important that this was the first question. But I think at this moment Mike Pence says I am chairman of the conference, I am going to reserve the right to make a comment and ask the first question and he came up with this list of bumper stickers, his so call Stimulus Bill, which brings a big smile on President Obama, piece meal list of projects, Boutique tax cuts, Jimmy Carter prepared thing like this. I mean he comes up with this just hitting him from really far right talking point right of the back that is sort of moment when we realised depending how the President response to this. This is either going to be a huge day or this is gona be really boring and exchange of talking points and Obama came back with this edge I am assuming you are not blaming for this thing that happened before I got there. Go ahead if want to score political points that is just a fact Mike and I think at that point we all realised get the pot going

Keith:Yes! See if you can find an economist who disagrees he did not say Republican or Democrat.

Mr President! No doubt this gives you and your team ammunition to win back the support of Democrat, Republican and Tea Party supporters.

May Allah be with you.

Wa’Assalam

[May Allah Bless you]
