Assalam o Alleyykum

Mid – Term Elections in the United States of America are elections for the House of Representatives i.e. Congress and the Senate between Democrats and Republican parties.

Brothers and Sisters! Although President of the United States of America is a very powerful person but his powers depend upon if his party enjoys majority in both houses i.e. Congress and Senate.

Brothers and Sisters! When Barrack Hussain Obama assumed office in January 2009 at that time Democrats enjoyed majorityin both houses.

Brothers and Sisters! In short, Republicans wanted to gain the control of Politics of United States where they played a ‘Negative’ politics to win the support of the American people. Brothers and Sisters! Republicans ‘Negative’ politics revolved around unemployment, slow progress of economy, foreclosures.

Brothers and Sisters! Within the eight years of under the administration of G W Bush, Republicans, because the two wars unpaid for which led to ‘printing’ money, and low activity in industrial and trading sector that led to Global Recession and this led to high unemployment. Before Barrack Hussain Obama assumed office the job losses were 800,000 per month and unemployment rate was around 8 per cent.

Brothers and Sisters! Because of the job losses the house owners could not pay the mortgages which led to repossessionof the houses by financial institutions.

Brothers and Sisters! It is natural phenomenon that when economy is in the grip of recession then it takes its course to come out of it provided the right policies are adopted. As per economists a normal period of 10 years is the course to come out the recession provided Natural Economic Forceswork based on the right type of economic policies.

Brothers and Sisters! President Obama assumed right type of policies and introduced Stimulus package i.e. Recovery Act to put the economy out of recession. Stimulus package bailed out financial institutions, Wall Street, AIG, General Motors and Chrysler. Moreover, policies were devised where the foreclosures rate became lower than it would have been had the policies notintroduced.

Brothers and Sisters! When the Mid – Term elections were drawing nearer the Republican Party started to exploit the hearts and minds of the Americanpeople that:

  • unemployment rate is high
  • growth in economy is negative
  • foreclosure rates are high
  • etc. 

Brothers and Sisters! Democrats did not counter attack them that they have to deal with economic mess created by the Bush administration in the eight years of their tenure and they also did not make the analysis of their manifestohad they been in power:

  • No Stimulus or Fin Reg
  • GM and Chrysler Bankrupt
  • 2 Conservative on Scout
  • All Bush Tax Cuts extende
  • More Iraq Combat, May be Ira

Brothers and Sisters! In short, the polls were indicating that Republicans are gaining grounds to control both houses i.e. congress and Senate.

Brothers and Sisters! At present United States of America is leading the world in more or less every field. Therefore, it is necessary that USA should remain on the right course as economies of every country in the world are geared with American economy.

Brothers and Sisters! I have studied to be a chartered accountant and had been in profession for over 30 years before I set foot to make Call for Peace. Therefore I have been able to make analysis of the economic infrastructure based on the basic principles.

Brothers and Sisters! In short, while over viewing the politics of USA since May 2008, I have been able to ascertain the causes of Global Recession based on the basic economic principles. Based on basic economic principles the economic policies devised by President Obama were on the right lines and they were taking their course to economic recovery. 

Brothers and Sisters! Republicans were exploiting the issue of unemployment, foreclosures and slow economic recovery. Moreover, republicans were also propagating that they will repeal the Healthcare Bill.

Brothers and Sisters! The circumstantial evidence depicted that Republicans are bound to take the control of both houses which will lead to economic disaster in the whole world. So with the Grace of Allah, made analysis of the Mid – Term elections and wrote letters to President Obama.

Brothers and Sisters! In this letter brief profile of President’s administration team is highlighted with a view that the president chose the right people to get USA out of the Global recession and also to repair the image of USA which has been damaged by the Bush administration because of the two wars: Afghanistan and Iraq.

Brothers and Sisters! In this letter the basic principles of economics were highlighted that if the right policies are adopted to come out of the recession then the economic forces take their natural course to be effective. In this letter the manifesto of Republican Party was analysed that had Republicans were in power there would have been disaster in every field which would have spread all over the world. 

No 7 Analysis of Healthcare Debate

Brothers and Sisters! In this letter Healthcare debate was analysed in the sense that how the Republicans were adamant not to have the Healthcare Bill passed when it will be put before the both Houses.

Brothers and Sisters! I did not receive any acknowledgement nor there was any reflection in the election campaign. So I wrote letter dated 30 10 10 and sent to Whitehouse by registered post. Although the letter would not have reached before 02 11 10 but the data would have been useful at the time of Presidential election.

(All Praises to Allah) I had been following the campaign for the Mid – Term Elections and the Democrats were desperate to look for the avenue where they can turn the swing towards them. Under such circumstances the US High Commissioner ought to have looked at the email: ID cfpmidtermelections@gmail.com with password democrats himself and immediately advised the staff at the Whitehouse. In fact he should have spoken to President Obama himself and asked him to look at the email ID: cfpmidtermelections@gmail.com with password democrats and get his horses ready to counter attack Republicans. The email was sent on 23 10 10. There were nine days left for the polling and nine days is ample time to changethe views of the people.

Brothers and Sisters! President wants to win the support of the people on the basis of his achievements. No doubt he is right. But when the Republicans propagate they do not admit these achievements and exploit the issue of unemployment, slow progress in the economy and foreclosures which outweigh the achievements in the minds of the American people because their eyes are set on the outcome.

Brothers and Sisters! The democrats have to start exploiting from the point which has been the cause of their downfall i.e. read the letter No 6 Economic Forces and then propagate that had the agenda of the Republicans been applied what would have been the consequences:

Brothers and Sisters! At the time of Mid – Term Elections the real face of the Republicans could have been exploited where every question posed by the Republicans was dealt with facts and figures which depicted that the President has comprehensive knowledge of every aspect of US Politics.

Brothers and Sisters! It is natural phenomenon that one’s caliber, concern, devotion can be judged and assess by his speeches, .especially, who has been entrusted to be head of the state.

State of the Union Address

Brothers and Sisters! When Barrack Hussain Obama assumed office as president of the United States of America he was confronted with Global Recession which has led to high unemployment, low economic activity, foreclosures etc. So his first State of the Union Address was the time to know as to what he had done on the home front for the American people. So this State of Union Address was segregated in such a way where American people can see that there has been progressin every front and there is something to look forward.

War lodged on two Islamic countries: Afghanistan and Iraq by the Bush administration had effect and impact upon the relationship between American and other countries of the world, especially, Islamic countries. To repair the damage President Obama visited many foreign countriesin his first year of Presidentship.

Brothers and Sisters! The President’s visit to Cairo and speech in Al – Azher University was a historic speech where hand of friendship was offered to Muslim world.

Brothers and Sisters! The idea behind uploading the above two speeches was that the American people should realise that President Obama has laid the foundations for growth in the economy and to repair the image of USA which has been damaged by Bush administration.

Brothers and Sisters! The crux of the analysis of questions and answers is that although Republican proclaim to work with President in bipartisanship fashion but in practice they will not co –operatewith him.

Brothers and Sisters! To run the Politics of the state people of the country elect or nominate a person among them who is termed as head of the state and thereafter he picks up his team to serve the people. In fact the head of the state and his team are servants to the people. 

Brothers and Sisters! But when these personnel assume authority they become Masters and people become servants.

His failure to respond to three letters sent to the White House was because there was no “political value” and not worthy of a few minutes of his time.

They spoke out as teenager Shawn Tyson began a life sentence after being found guilty of the murder of James Cooper and James Kouzaris last April.

Brothers and Sisters! The context of the news speaks for itself the Whitehouse staff did not include their letter in the ten letters which are handed to President Obama every night.

Political Partie

Brothers and Sisters! Because of the default in mortgage payments the bank started proceedings to repossess the house which had become the Centre Point of Call for Peace. Brothers and Sisters! I wrote letters to political parties of Pakistan and to the Muslim Consulates to come to the rescuen of the Centre Point of Call for Peace but none of the party even acknowledged the letters.

How the Centre Point of Call for Peace from Repossession was Saved

Brothers and Sisters! In short, bank secured the repossession order from the court of law and there was only one hour left where the Bailiffs would have come and repossessed the house.

Brothers and Sisters! Allah’s help came and a gentleman whom I had made aware of the state of affairs arranged £15,000 to pay the arrears and thereafter he was making arrangements for the monthly mortgage installment until February 2011when he could not make any further arrangements.

Brothers and Sisters! I had no other resources to pay monthly mortgage installment and I had brief discussion with the Bank of Scotland who kindly agreed that for one year I can pay interest only.

Gratefulness

Brothers and Sisters! When the gentleman saved the Centre Point of Call for Peace by arranging £15,000 just one hour before the Bailiffs to arrive, there were no word where I could express or show my gratitude. So with the Toffeeq of Allah I expressed word of Gratefulness in writing and sent him letters. Moreover, to show my gratitude forever, I uploaded the letter under option Gratefulness on website: www.callforpeace.org.uk so that whoever will read this he will make Dua’a (Pray) for him.

CONCLUSION

Brothers and Sisters! The conclusion boils down to is that whole mankind is offspring of Hazrat Adam (PBUH) where whole mankind has been tied in the relationship of brothers and sisters. Head of the states and authorities are chosen among the peopleso they should realise that they cannotbe in authority forever.

Brothers and Sisters! Insha’allah (Allah Willing)! Are Republicans Listening to American People or Wall Street?

Brothers and Sisters! The Republican have secured majority in the House of Representative by the slogan: We are listening to American people.

Brothers and Sisters! If Republicans are listening to listening to American people then why:

  •  did they not pass the Bill where subsidies of $4billion should be stopped to oil companies? 
  •  would they repeal healthcare Bill should they assume power in the next Presidential Elections? 
  •  Why they brought the case before the Supreme court that on the basis that passing the Healthcare act is unconstitutional? 

Brothers and Sisters! Alhamdu’lillah (All Praise to Allah)! I am listening to the news. As perDemocrats the Healthcare Bill passed is constitutional. However, for the sake of argument, even if it is unconstitutional, then as it is benefit of the American people the Republicans could have been made it constitutional by necessary amendments and ratified it.

The three days of hearings in Washington will decide on the constitutionality of the hugely divisive Affordable Care Act – known derisively as “Obama care” by its opponents – which grants health insurance to 30 million Americans for the first time.

The case is set to be one of the most-watched in recent times with the healthcare debate promising to be a recurring issue during this autumn’s general election.

It could lead to the act being abolished, though many of its provisions do not come into force until 2014.

Lawyers challenging the Act on behalf of several US States will say that it over-steps the constitutional limits of Congress’s power because it forces all Americans by law to buy healthcare insurance, something they say is a violation of fundamental freedoms to chose.

Supporters of the law say the US federal government has the right to regulate economic activity nationally and that it forces insurance companies not to discriminate against women, the poor and those with mental health conditions.

Brothers and Sisters! It is clearly apparent that Republicans wanted to find a loophole where they can have their way i.e. to benefit Insurance companies. Everyone by law is take insurance policy who has a car. So why not state can make law for everyone to have health insurance as health is very important factor of life? In all European countries everyone has health insurance which is deducted from his salaries. However, the shortfall is funded by the government.

Last Word

Brothers and Sisters! In fact whole world is One Unit and this is why the relationship has been maintained through International Trade and also help the people who become the victim of catastrophesand otherwise.

Brothers and Sisters! America is leading more or less every field and therefore the economies of the rest of the world are geared with the economy of America. Brothers and Sisters! The economic policies devised by President Obama and his team are working and these will continue to work if he is elected for the second term in office. For the sake of argument, should the Republicans will be in power then they would reverse the policies of Obama administration and there will be economic chaos in the whole world and they will not hesitate to lodge war on Iran which was on their agenda at the time of last Presidential election.

Brothers and Sisters! Ball is in the court of American people because they are the ones who are going to elect the next President.
